I started this project about two weeks ago. This is what I have done so far and there is still a lot on sratch building to go.I have one capstand done for the anchor chain and i am in the process of doing the other. Also I have scribed all the fairways out alone with the anchor holes and have one side done on the anchor hole. Also you will see the chain leeds to the anchors have been scribed out to.Still have to make the new prop guard for port side.I plan to scratch build most stuff on here and might get some p.e.stuff for the cranes and stair ways, but for now this is what I have.Digger

A bit of the USS San Francisco history some may not know.

I served aboard the USS Coral Sea CVA 43 in the mid 60s home ported at Alameda California. The City of San Francisco adopted the Coral Sea and one of the gifts the city gave us was the USS San Francisco battle flag. I'm going to assume the flag was returned to the city before the ship was scrapped.

Here's another important piece of history, and thanks bayou for that info.
