My Aurora Bonhomme Richard does not mention a scale anywhere on the box that I noticed during a quick peek.  Didn't see anything in the instructions either.  I did not have time to measure the actual length of the kit (the box says "approx' 2 feet long) but the nameplate says 151 feet long.  For what it is worth the crew figures included are about the same size as the crew from the 1/96 scale Revell Constitution.

Like most of the kits from the 50's 60's there is no true scale. the kits were referred to as box scale. The manufactor would make the plastic parts to fit  a certain size box that was good for shipping, and also displaying. Back in those days most of these kits where sold at dime stores and drug stores. If there is a true scale it would be a real different than the norm like 1/111 or 1/93.

1/124 seems pretty accurate for the scale. Thank you very much.

If you are looking for this kit, I see it fairly often on ebay. It usually goes for far less than $225.00.  In fact, I have seen it go for less than $80.00, averaging about $85.00.

Agreed.  'Old Model Kits' sells everything at ridiculously inflated prices.........

Makes you wonder what the original price was in the '60s!

Orginal pricing in the 60's would have been around $2.98. That also was the price of  1/2 tank of gas.
