Who has made the 1/35 Dragon LSSC.....did this happen to you?

I'm in the process of attaching the hull to the upper half of my Dragon 1/35 Light SEAL Support Craft and I wasn't too happy with the fit around the "cockpit"....there is a gap about 1/32" at the front by the two front M60s..it‘s inside where the hull meets the upper half...also the "plate" (parallel with the "beam" of the boat) at the rear of the cockpit (the area where the antenna mounts are) was not flush at the bottom...although this will not be seen when the model is complete I just thought it wasn't right. In order for the top to be flush, the bottom can't be. It's like they made the piece too tall by close to 1/8"....I thought this was very odd and like I said in order for the top to be flush, the bottom will not be flush, extending down past by about 1/8" inside the belly of the boat (at least it won't be seen since it is inside the hull but the small gaps up front can be seen if you look closely....I just expected a better fit).

My question is, did anyone else have this issue too or did I do something wrong? I hope I wasn't to vague with my description of the fit issue as far as exactly what parts didn't fit quite right.

I have selected this one for my next build from my stash as it looks like a quick easy build. Is there anything else I should be aware of? I will let you know if I run into those fit issues.

Stikpusher,

Some of the SEAL figure parts numbers don't jive with the numbers on the instructions (if I remember correctly...figure A's and figure D's heads, arms and torsos where numbered vise-versa on the instructions)...I may find more as I get deeper into it....

Overall, it's a quick build, not many parts.  Mine looks pretty good so far...just that damn fit issue Angry [:(!]....oh well, it's still a fun kit to make!  Good Luck!
