Generally:
Early war wersions of U-boote VII C - with the net cutter
Late war versions of VII C - without the "net cutter".

The u-boat deck configuration vary from ship to ship, I've seen photos of type VII-C with and without the net cutter, it seems those were deleted from a particular date, similar case to the main gun, probably they are an optional part in the kit.

By the way, this page could be interesting to someone. http://www.uboat.net

I did a little research on google and some had the cutter and some did not....hmmmm.

I do know one thing....when these babies came into port they were put back together with what ever scrap metal that was lying around....after a few tours no two U-boats looked alike!

I'm no expert with German U-boats, but every single VII-C I've ever seen had the cutter mounted. The only one I've seen without it is that model. Strange..................

Hi gang!

I noticed that the latest picture of Revells new ( built and painted ) VII C did not show the 'net cutter' like the earlier demo model had.

Were the net cutters not used by the time that the VII C came about?

If they were used I hope its an optional part.

I noticed that they also used a 'dazzle' paint scheme...check it out!

Thanks! I mean Danka!
