Am also looking forward to the release of the 1-350 Scharnhorst from Dragon. It has been announced on their website so it is another one I now have to try and save for....I am going to need a bigger House at this rate.....!!!

Very cool indeed!  'Prinz Eugen' in my opinion was probably the most efficient and useful ship in the German Navy of WW2 (they should have built a bunch more instead of wasting resources on the Bismarcks and Scharnhorsts!).  I have just pre-ordered 'Prinz Eugen' from Freetime Hobbies after reading a number of very complimentary reviews, and the model is supposed to be available in February (and THEN I can get a Revell 'Bismarck!').....

Great! That´s the scale I´ve been looking for. My late, great father in law was on the Prinz Eugen from the beginning to the end. He was still part of the crew when it went to the states for testing and stayed aboard all the way to San Francisco. (We all know where it went after that). His stories about life aboard the Prinz Eugen were priceless.

Leave one in the hobby shop for me!

Hey y'all, There are some nice photos of the kit over at Model Shipwrights.  Here's the URL:

(copy and paste into your browser - I don't yet know the format to make it a live link on the forum)

Enjoy!  Cheers, Rick

Can't wait to see this hit the shelves, but I won't hold my breath either!  I have been waiting for my pre-ordered HMS Repulse since last February..........

Looks like there was a problem with the link when I tried.......

Trumpeter ceases to amaze me..........I have everything they have done in 32nd scale a/c, and a good majority of their modern 350th ships. Even though some of their kits have "issues" at least they're doing the stuff that no one else will or even think about doing.

At long last!!!!!  Of course, Trumpeter often 'announces' new models, but then takes forever to actually issue them (I have been waiting for my HMS Repulse since I pre-ordered it in February!!), so I expect this will take a year to get off the ground and on the shelves....
