My original title was incorrect. The Mighty Mo is the Tamyia 1/350th. The N. Carolina was/is a Trumpeter, and I finished it last night. Thanks for the response, Tracy. The build went together really well.

PS   I'll post pics when I can. The BB55 needs painting, otherwise, it's finished.

If you're not a rivet conter, I'd say that the waterline joint between the upper and lower hulls might be a PITA; in many cases the lower piece "clenches" as it cools so that it winds up being annoyingly narrower than the upper hull. Some have used wooden dowels to spread it back out.

I cut the locating tabs off my deck pieces and sanded the joints true; fit was near perfect.

Otherwise, enjoy the build.

I have already started the BB55 and have had to trim the rear (quarter?) deck to get the proper fit. Any other warnings or anything for these builds?

PS, I am not a big rivet counter.

                                                      Thanks,  60
