Hello all!
I am presently mapping out the way in which I want to construct my 1/350 model of the Trumpeter Hood. She will be depicted as fagship of the Mediterranean Fleet in the mid '30's, in that wonderful light grey. I have an interesting picture ( from Bruce Taylor's book ) of her lying quietly at anchor in the Grand Harbour, Malta, c.1937, with a large canopy across her quarterdeck. This struck just the right note with me to incorporate into my model.
Now, could anyone offer some advice as to how to go about creating such a canopy? I have heard of paper towels soaked in white glue and rolled up as tarpaulins on 1/35 armour vehicles, but that's about all... Would I also need to add some plastic rodding under the canopy for extra support? Thanks very much in advance for any advice/directions you can give me.
