Is anyone aware of a model (plastic) of monitor class warships from world war I? In any scale, 1/350 preferably 1/700 next choice. Also any world war II Itailain warships, same acale? |

The only monitor type warships available at present would be in 1/700 scale and resin. Of course, the term monitor is flexible and can also be used to mean Coastal Battleship. I believe WEM has plans to bring out an Abercrombie in 1/350 shortly. H-P and Combring have WW2 rebuilds of monitors out at the present.
As for Italian ships you will have to go 1/700 in resin to get any kind of variety. If you go to PacificFront.com you will find ships listed by Navy. There are quite a few Italian Navy ships in 1/700 presently available, certainly enough to keep you busy building at even the most frantic pace for a couple of years. In terms of battleships you have Caio Duilio, Andrea Doria, Conti De Cavour, Dante Alighieri, Giulio Cesare, Littorio, Napoli, Regina Magherita, Roma, and Vittorio Veneto. There are also quite a few cruisers as well in 1/700. The better producers are Regia Maria and Delphis. Both can be found at Pacific Front. WS
