For those of you who were not aware IHP made a 1/700 scale kit of the Lexington as a battlecruiser. It is no longer in production but some examples may still be around. The kit itself is absolutely gorgeous, not to mention huge, even in 1/700 scale! IHP also made a South Dakota in it's line of never were ships. Before you get rolling on South Dakota being a BB in the US Navy, the kit that IHP made was of the ship that was scrapped before completion (BB-49 not the later BB-57) as a result of the Washington Naval Arms Conference in the '20s. I have both of these kits and must say that it is a shame that they are not still in production... WS
