I always thought it was a terrible tragedy that this ship was scrapped in the '70's...... The last battlecruiser!

  Many Thanks,kapudan!   The large cruisers of the High Seas Fleet,from the S.M.S. Scharnhorst to the S.M.S. Mackensen,are my favorite ships of all time.Your link has some photos  that are new to me and some great history. I can only hope that some 1:350 models of them will come one day !!!
