Glad to help. This is a great site for ship info, one of my favorites.

I'd like to build up the Revell Lionfish to represent the USS Torsk, a submarine currently in Baltimore, MD, and a ship that had the distinction of sinking the last Japanese vessels in WWII. I'd like to build her as she appeared on that day (not as heavily modified, as she now appears in Baltie).

Two questions.

1) Which of the Nautilus aftermarket conning towers should I use?

http://www.nautilusmodels.com/

2) What color should she be? Had they gone over to the Grey with black lower hull yet, or were the subs still overall black in mid 1945?

Thanks for any help. I visited this ship with my six year old son, and would like to build her up as she was on that last wartime patrol. He's very respectful of models and would never dream of playing with it. I hope. Tongue [:P]
