As sent to Aoshima....

Greetings! I have heard some rumors that several model ship designers from ICM have been hired by Aoshima to produce a number of WW1 German warships in 1/350 scale to go along with those already in production such as SMS Koenig. First off, if this is true, I salute you and your efforts!! We in the modelling community have already been very impressed with your work in the 'Ironclad' range of ships (Takao class and Kongo), and look eagerly to more in this scale from you! That said, while there is certainly great interest in the modelling community for ships of this era (please see the ship forum on Finescale.com, at: /forums/1035387/ShowPost.aspx ) I strongly urge you to consider the simultaneous production of British warships of the same era. Just as there is not much point in producing a 'Bismarck' unless there is also a 'HMS Hood' either planned or already in production, the production of German warships should also be accompanied by British warships. For example, if you plan on producing the German battlecruiser 'SMS Lutzow,' then you might also wish to produce 'HMS Lion,' which was opposed to 'Lutzow' on every occasion. Same goes for 'SMS Scharnhorst,' which was opposed by 'HMS Invincible.' In any case, my best congratulations for your work so far, and we all look forward to your future productions! Best Regards,
