I plan on buying detail sets for my 1/350 USS Hancock, and 1/700 USS Baltimore, both from Trumpeter.

I've found some detail sets for both (Tom's Model Works and Gold Medal Models so far), but was wondering if I should buy JUST the specific sets, or should I be picking up additional sets to compensate for missing equipment and details?

I'm not familiar with either of those kits or either of those PE sets, but what I can tell you is that the sets I've gotten from GMM are the best. I found that they weren't missing much at all in the fine detail area. Actually I was pretty amazed at the extra stuff I didn't think would be in there and yet when the set arrived " Hey cool it's there". I hope this helps a bit.
