Greetings:

I'm planning on pre ordering this kit from Brandon at Free Time Hobbies and was thinking about back dating it to the battleship configuration. I know I'll have to scratch build a new rear deck and make some resin copies of one of the kit's turrets to replace the 2 removed ones but does anyone see any other major stumbling blocks? I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments.

Sincerely

Are you talking about the 1/350 'Ise?'  If so, you will have your work cut out for you, as there are a LOT of modifications to do!  That said, if you are talking about a 1/700 version, I'm pretty sure there is already a 'full battleship' version available, and I think it might even be in a full-hull version too!

Searat12:

Yes, I'm talking about the new 1/350th future offering. I'm sure at some point they or somebody will make one in its original battle ship form but I'm not sure if I want to wait. I'm mostly just curious at this point as to the amount/type of work it would involve. I may decide not to try to back date it if it is too involved. At a minimum I know the rear sides of the hull will have to be modified as they are enclosed and then a new deck made for under that section. Also 2 new main turrets will then have to be frabricated. Do you have any other thoughts regarding what else would have to be done? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Sincerely
