Veteran Models has already done the heavy lifting for you in 1:350 scale.    The Veteran detail parts are very well done.   They are available fro PacificFront Hobbies and Iron Shipwright

Need info for scratchbuild!

Does anybody know where I can find out what a Mk 56 GFCS gun director looks like? I am building a 1/350 Sumner class destroyer as she appeares in 1959. I have had to scratchbuild everything above the weather deck of a Yankee Modelworks USS Sumner. This ship, the Douglas H. Fox had two 3'-50 guns on the after deck on top of the superstructure that was guided by the Mk.56 GFCS. I have Robert Sumrall's book: "Sumner-Gearing Class Destroyers" which has been useful but it only has one view of the GFCS and I need the other three views. If anyone knows where to find info, (preferably on the net as libraries are few and far between in rural Virginia) I would be grateful. If any aftermarket parts maker has it in 1:350, that would be optimal.

Thanks guys.
