Tim superb idea! Along with with gold foil idea....but I have never thought about using automotive pin-striping before for anything modeling related! Hmmmm maybe I'll have to try some now....

I'm sure a lot of modelers would agree with me.

Yes. When you throw a question out on techniques like you did, you'll almost always get more than one way of doing something. Then it's up to you to pick the one you will use. I doesn't matter which one you chose, the only one you must satisfy is yourself. Good LuckSmile [:)]

One of the problems with the auto pin striping is that it will not lay "into & around" the steel plates and rivets. Better to use the foil. Cut a 4" long lenght and work them one at a time. it's not impossible but will take an hour at least.

I went to auto parts store. Bought narrowest gold pinstriping I could find. Used new razor blade to cut into strip 3/32" wide, peeled off backing and applied. Looks great.

Ditto on the gold foil, I tried to mask and paint mine but screwed up pretty bad. I've seen others have success with decaling it but I haven't tried that method myself. Also heard of using a paint pen but my hand isn't nearly steady enough to make a straight line that long.

Take your BRAND NEW #11 and cut a 3/32nd strip of Gold metal Foil for it, it is the only way it can be done.

Any ideas of what would be the best way to apply the gold\yellow stripe that goes around the hull of the Titanic? I believe it goes between the black and the white areas of the hull.
