Big Jake ...you have mail.

Revell of Germany 1/72 scale VII C U-boat ... price news.

Posted by Nautilus Models on November 25, 2003, 13:12:34

During my discussion with the Revell folks present at Telford, they
disclosed that the retail price is going up January 1st. The price will
go up by 5 GBP and 10 Euros. The kit will be boxed in the Snowberry box
(their largest box). He said that this means the US price will almost
certainly not be the $49 level announced by Revell/USA. The current
prices will be 39.95GBP or 55 Euros, which will increase to 45GBP or
65Euros. 65 Euros is about $75 at today's rate.
-----------------------------------------------

There has been an on-going ruckus over on Hyperscale over the price
jumping
from $17.00 to $41.00 for the last week or so. Accusations of "bait and
switch"
practices with pre-order enticing, renegging on advertised prices.
Etc...

Well.....there you have it.....I guess its a WAIT and SEE thing......

though....I was told from Revell of Germany at the very beginging last year that the price would probably be about 60.00 to 70.00 U.S. anyways.

I just looked over ay Hobbylink and they have moved thier price to 37.00 ( 'our price' )

Straighten up and fly right.....
