Beautiful job! Maybe you can do another one for the Lend-Lease GB. Look in the group builds forum for details.

Nice job...how'd you recreate that water? Great job on the rigging...

I am surprised that she was still in front-line service in '44...what battle  was she in that caused her loss?

Many probably know of the USS Ward's action on the morning of Dec 7, 1942 when she sank a japanese mini-sub at the opening to the harbor. The rest of her story is even more amazing as she was hit by Japanese aircraft exactly 3 years later on Dec 7, 1944. She was sunk by gunfire later that day by the US Navy. The commander of the ship that sunk her was the same man who had been her captain 3 years before at Pearl Harbor!!

This is the ancient Revell kit that was recentl re-released as the HMS Campbellton. A little scrounging in the decals box produced the correct DD number for the Ward. I don't do many ships so I am sure there is a lot wrong with this build. At least I had fun!!
