Ha!  Good one Bondoman!  It is only recently that I have come to an appreciation of the Admiral Scheer.  For some reason or another, until recently I never saw the ship in its late-war configuration, and I must say, the combination of the curved 'Atlantic' bow and revised mainmast/conning tower really makes this an attractive ship (the Heller 1/400 version shows it very well)

Or are you talking about the vertical curve in a ships deck between stem and stern?

for more onfo on the ADMIRAL SCHEER the advice you got is very sound , but check your lhs to see if they know anyone who has the squadron / signal  books . i,m sorry to say mine was given to a veteran in hospital in california .....tankerbuilder

Panzerschiffe Admiral Scheer appeared in several different paint schemes throughout the war.  She was also modified to a different superstructure configuration in 1940, with a different bow as well.  What period are you modeling?

One nice reference is the old Squadron/Signal publication on the Kriegsmarine colors that was published in the early-mid 1970's (if you can find one).

I think you are talking about the Admiral Scheer?

That ship was actually designed as a "Panzerschiff" - faster than heavier ones and heavier than faster ones, that was the original idea for this design, which during the war turned out to be a complete failure, the ship was later redeesignated as a heavy cruiser.
