Facinating stuff, everything from tugboats to dirigibles. Unfortunately it looks like Papermodels International is going out of business.

hey onyxman if you want to do paper use ALEENS craft glue ./ i,ve used it for years now. the place to go for more info would be PAPERMODELS INTERNATIONAL in beaverton ,oregon at last writing . they carry WILHELMSHAVEN ,J.S.C. and SCHREIBER and much more . i believe WILHELMSHAVEN has the best in card models and it runs the gamut from civilian and military ships , planes and a lot more. hope this helps     tankerbuilder

Hello Gents,

I did some progress with the 'Soldek'. Now, the most difficult part will come, sticking the ship's sidesWhistling [:-^]

Some information about 'Soldek': launched 6.11.1948; tonnage 2005 RT; dimensions 87x12,2x5,5 m; propulsion 2 boilers, 1 double expansion steam engine, 1 shaft, 1300 HP = 9,5 kts; complement 28. Since 1985 she is a museum-ship in Gdansk.

Very interesting!  I don't have much experience with the world of paper models, but I know there are some excellent products - and unusual subjects - out there.  On another website I saw some photos of a large-scale H.M.S. Victory that a guy was building from a paper kit made in Poland.  The detail and accuracy of it were downright mind-blowing - and if I hadn't seen the pictures of it in its early stages I wouldn't have been able to believe it was made of paper.

Youth, talent, hard work, and enthusiasm are no match for old age and treachery.
