Epinniger, thanks for the kind words, but if you want to build , don't be put off by 1,2 or 3 props, i build to sail and not sit on a comps table, my last boat before this one was a coastal motor boat from w.w.1, built all from balsa wood and single screw, my first s-boote [ photo on this site] is also on a single screw but still flys, i did three working motors and rudders on the italeri kit, but on hindsight should have stuck to single, theres less to go wrong, thanks keith

Looking extremely good! It looks like you've made a great job of the painting and weathering.

I've also  become interested in R/C model boats in the last couple of years, and have thought of building the Italeri S-100 as a working model (at £90 it's an absolute bargain compared to any previous Schnellboot model designed for R/C, for example the Robbe 1/40 kit which is notorious for its poor fit and hull moulding) but what's really put me off is the triple props and rudders, which look rather complicated (and expensive) to motorise. So far I've only built models either with a single prop + rudder, or rudderless twin-prop steering.

hi julian, thanks alot, pity i did'nt have the chance to see how she sailed, will try again in a few days if weather o.k, because its going to get abuse on the water i've had to relace the plastic gun rails, aerials, signal stands and the stanchions with brass, still got to do the mines yet, and can't make up my mind about the cavas rail covers, but thanks again, keith
