The man gave me all 3 1/350 flotation racks and hose reels for free. Before they were sold to the public. I'll never forget that. I have a Nimitz class coming with all his p.e set.                     Mardis

Bondoman,

Yes, Tom Harrison lived in Cupertino within a couple of blocks of De Anza College...

Oh crumb, that's horrible. He had a very good product line that I always admired him sticking with in the face of much bigger companies in competition. In fact I was about to place another order. Well, my T2 is using some of his sheets and it's dedicated to him. My prayers for his family, they live close by I believe.

Here's to Tom!Make a Toast [#toast]

Dear All,

Many of you may have already heard the news, but Tom Harrison of Tom's Modelworks passed away yesterday.  I never met Tom, but I have used his photoetch, and everything I have read and seen indicates he was very important for our hobby.

This is what was posted at the Tom's Modelworks site:

Tom Harrison passed away Wednesday February 25th after a battle with lung cancer. Please allow the family some time to get their affairs in order before trying to contact them. No new orders are being accepted until the family has time to decide on the future of his site. I will report their decision here when they make it.

Cheers, Rick
