Darnit, I forgot entirely about the Eagle boat made by the Ford Motor Company.

It is available in 1:350 scale from Iron Shipwright.

It was one of my first successful attempts at mastering a ship model for production.   It was based on the construction plans & drawings which I obtained during a trip to the National Archives in College Park, MD

The U-Boat Laboratorium of Russia has just come out with several 1:350 scale WWI-era submarines.  They include a German UB-1 and several French.  The Curie (above) looks to be particularly nice, with the PE deck raised above the pressure hull.  They also make a 1:350 scale model of the French cruiser Dupleix.

If you want the greatest selection of kits you must go with 1/700. Resin makers like Combrig and WSW (among others) make a selection of WW1 and even ships prior to the war that is simply astounding. The number of ships available would take a lifetime to complete! WS

the article on the KONIG by alfonso martinez berlana is great . he did mention the lack of more subjects (naval) in the particular genre . i would like to recommend that if you can,t find it in 1/350 in plastic try 1/200 in paper or cardmodeling . there are many ww1 subjects . the konig as released by modelik of poland is large , full hull and can be built as any of the ships in the class . that way you can have the konig ,kronprinz , markgraf and the grosser kurfurst . in the same scale . by the way the ships can be built in plastic using rod ,tube and sheet , and some toms modelworks photo etch materials. the ships are out there ,try them . i am converting the schreiber version of the jules verne "nautilus "from paper to plastic and believe me it will be awesome ... well thats all for now ..happy modeling  tankerbuilder,,, oh the ships of both wars are also 1/250 for the most part , with a few exceptions.
