                         HI ! The lcac or air cushion vehicle does NOT have landing gear per se . The vehicle settles down on it,s skirt when power is cut . Some I,ve seen do have large rubber blocks that take the weight at rest . these are no more than 12 " thick .  TANKERBUILDER

                        so they are a like a Perot here with a shallow flat bottom that will go right over obstacles. Makes much more sense than having  a true set of gear down there to catch on everything.

                        They have no "Landing Gear", the bottoms of the vehicles are essentially flat. Pretty much a barge bottom, or an airboat.

                        VERY general question and I hope someone can guilde me on this.

                        I am scratchbuilding a Ma.K air cushion vehicle that to my knowledge has never existed in that universe so I have no guidlines.  On modern air cushion vehicles there is no external landing gear visible so it must be inside the skirt.  Does anyone know what tpe of arrangement ACV's use when they come to rest either aboard ship or land. 

                        I have looked all over the internet and come up with only a couple of cutaway drawings that did not help, and literally thousands of photos of them doing what they do best.
