Identify a model of u-boat?
Posted by Fish-Head Aric on Friday, March 6, 2009 3:34 PM

Can someone identify this sub type? I think it's a u-boat of some sort, but not in on the particulars enough to know if it represents an exact design, or if there it is "fanciful"...

It looks to be someone's attempt at a CGI version of a Type VIIc U-boat.   The aft wintergarten deck is too small and the contents of the conning tower are fanciful,  but the profile view tends to look VIIc-ish

Agreed.  A very rough effort at a Type VII, but with most of the particulars wrong....

So, would it be plausible as a German design that could have been but never was? I thought it was similar to the VIIc types as well.

No... It is a lousy attempt to produce a KNOWN type in a CGI version.....
