                        the engines were either greymarine or g.m. the radars and such can be found on the pages of ads on yachting magazine i do believe they might heve been v8 engines but the old tried and true g.m.c. 671 /6 cylinder were probably used . it was and still is a dependable old warhorse       tankerbuilder    the operations area were the delta and rarely up the river on special missions . if my memory serves the facilities for repair quickly became catch as can necause the best places to do maintenance was well behind our lines .

                        Howdy, y'all... Just a couple quick Q's on the Dragon 1/35th "Nam Series" LSSC...

                        Rather than doing a typical "bang-bang shoot 'em up" dio with this kit, I'd like to show it tied up at the dock and getting something done to it, maintenence-wise, like an engine being replaced or the radar getting servoced, but have no idea where to look on-line for the radar, and I have ZERO knowledge in marine engines...

                        The other question is where exactly did these boats operate in Vietnam? Were they most common in the Delta or go farther North?  And what types of support facilites did the Navy have for them?
