Hi guys,

Some details about the sawfish colour can be found in my downloadable article "U 96 and the Laughing Sawfish" at the AMP library section -

http://amp.rokket.biz/reference.shtml

You'll find your answer to the free-flooding hole question in my article "Type VIIC Free-Flooding Vent Patterns" which can also be found at the same place.

Cheers,

Dougie

I would suggest looking at the AMP forum for info about the boats.

Siara is working on a super detailed boat right now.

Eric...

Thanks Eric, I'll check it out.

U-96 Question
Posted by plasticjunkie on Monday, March 23, 2009 12:20 PM

I have the Revell 1/144 scale Type VII and was thinking of doing U-96. I also have all the Griffon goodies to go with it. Its really a smaller copy of the 1/72 scale boat. During my research, I have failed to find a definite answer as to the correct color of the 'Laughing Fish' emblem. The decals of the fish are blue, red or green. Another color that is a suspect is black. Another question is the correct number of flood holes by the bow above the tubes. I have found 2 on the starboard and 3 on the port side and the reverse on other boats. Can anyone provide better documentation or refference to these two items?
