This story was in today edition of the New Orleans Paper. Interesting read.  At the risk of starting arguments, what's your op/ed.  Lets keep it nice and friendly

This subject, while definitely ship related, may well be better discussed in the "Odds and Ends" section as a broader base of opinions may be had there. This would be a discussion where all members of the forum might well have something to say. I'm going to wait a bit before any further posting on this subject until it gravitates to one section or another.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Thanks Sub, for yanking me back into line. I just spent the last half-hour researching this, which is fun, and have a draft of an argument, but you are right, no models or forum membership talking points. I await a O and E thread.

As soon as Ballard announced the titanic was found I just knew something like this would happen, I wonder if any of the surviving passengers were ever compensated for the deaths of their family members who did loose their lives and maybe any relatives of these people alive today should receive some compensation from the artifacts brought up from the Titanic first before any other funds are received, and my question is: how would the Titanic site be monitored? and yes I do think this site should be considered as a burial site and not disturbed, and thanks for the link.   Karl
