NO worries, glad to help!

My wife uses acrylics with great success, but I'm a mess with them. I'm a little biased towards the "kills-you-but-bites-and-sticks" school, enamels, and my most experience with water-stuff was white (aaaaaargh!!!). I like Tamiya acrylics, or at least how they look when my wife uses them! I will have to make a better effort to try them.

rokket:

Thank you very much! That file you provided the link to should be very helpful. I downloaded it for future reference. I should be able to come up with a match with the Polly scale acrylics and a little effort on my part. I know WEM makes these colors but I just don't use enamels anymore.

This might help too - a detailed research o Kriegsmarine colors and uboats:

http://amp.rokket.biz/reference.shtml

 ======================================

U-BOATS: Kriegmarine U-Boat Colours & Markings (PDF 1.2mb)

Written with the U-boat modeller in mind, this detailed article attempts to cover everything the modeller needs to know about painting their model U-boat. Included are standard Kriegsmarine paints, upper and lower hull colours, camouflage schemes, insignia, tonnage and tactical markings, draft markings, wooden deck colours, and the colours of small miscellaneous parts. Federal Standard references are given for all Kriegsmarine paints, as well as matches for six ranges of modelling paints.

The original version was published in the September 2004 (#58), December 2004 (#59) and March 2005 (#60) issues of the SubCommittee Report

 ==========================================

And John at WEM is right, the WEM paints are PERFECT, go with those they are not expensive!

Perhaps you can find equivalents with this.

Hi Michael,

I can't answer your question directly, but if you're willing to mix and match, you should get the Kriegsmarine paint chip sets from Snyder & Short Enterprises. You can order them from Randy Short at rshort@macnexus.org, or cferguson@macnexus.org.

Cheers,

Greetings:

Would anyone know of any Polly S acrylic paints that can be used for the Kreigsmarine colors used on German WWII warships?
