The major reason you get two options is that to display her in a diorama, you can elevate the barrels. If you decide to use the blast bag option, you can't elevate the barrels without major surgery to that area of the barrels.

Sorry folks, this maybe a stupid question, but why does the Repulse kit have an option to build the main guns with or without blast bags?

Wouldn't the blast bags always be fitted when at sea or at port?
