74 (top tube) is 1mm longer than 73 (bottom tube)

BTW the Fleetboat section at Subcommittee has a number of things you might like to look at.

Things that need to be fixed to make a more accurate model including removing the doors on the side of the fairwater and placement of the venting holes on the bottom of the boat, exost openings, removing the broom off the mast.

More info can be found at AMP

......Im not modeling any "particular" boat.....acutally....I was using it as a learning project for working with PE....bought all the ED stuff....Im having a lot of fun....as Ive always been a airplane builder...I was hoping someone who had the kit and the parts attached to the sprue ....could id them for me....they are identical, save one seems to be just a little shorter than the other.  In the pics you guys have provided  : )  thanks very much....it looks like the upper tube is slightly longer.  thanks for all the pics and help.

Yeah that's the Cobia that the model is based on.

I may have some scans of the "Watertight Ammunition Stowage Lockers", BuShips drawings, squirreled away somewhere. Drop me an Email <<mkeatingss(at)cox.net>> and I'll see if I can dig them up.

These should help.

Are you building it OOB or doing a certain boat?

my tubes have been seperated from the sprue....so, I am assuming that the shorter of the two parts is part 73 and would be on the bottom.  part 74 is the slightly longer and goes on the top??  and should be angled up slightly.   Can someone verify this for me? Thanks.
