Elco 80' Torpedo Boat 1:35

Garth, thanks for your kind observation. I have no idea about the color of the life-ring floats, but the torpedo color is based on the color profiles provided in the photographic reference manual of the kit.

Julian, thanks for your information. But I'm not gonna order a very big box like that from abroad. Shipping cost and import tax may be twice the kit price. I'm waiting for the importer to bring in. Rumors were that it's gonna cost over $200 - I got my Elco 80' for $81 only. 

sure have, the thread of my build has been running on this forum since december Ordered mine from : http://www.moduni.de/ but postage from Germany to Thailand is going to be terrifying to say the least. I can recommend the company though, parcel was most carefully packed and arrived without the signature broken torpedo tube "eyebrows" that most first mail batch S-100's suffered from. Moduni was also very helpful in mediating with Italeri to fix me up with new decals for the stand of the S-100 (I s*****d up the decals I am ashamed to say ). Italeri didn't answer the e-mails I sent to their support adress so I contacted Moduni, they took over and I had new decals within a week. Now that I call fantastic after sale support.

Very nice PT boat model.  But, may I make a small observation ...

The life-ring floats, they should not be orange.  They should match the area of the scheme that they cover.

The torpedo warheads, they should match the base color of the scheme the boat wore or that they should match the area of the scheme that they're in front of.

Very nice and crispy clean build. Still have this one sitting pretty in my stash.
