Porthole identification....?
Posted by dirkpitt77 on Monday, May 4, 2009 10:55 PM

    Hey guys,

Figured I'd throw this out and see if anyone would have an idea where to look.   I recently inherited from my wife's now deceased grandmother a large porthole that was made into a coffee table.   It's about 2ft in diameter, brass, and on the flange on one side is stamped "400", and the other side is "W.U.B.".   Would anyone know where to look in order to identify the manufacturer of these or perhaps what kind of ships they went on?  I know it's a long shot, but figured I'd hit you up.

   Thanks!

     Chris
