Some pre war color shots of CV-6
Posted by stikpusher on Monday, May 25, 2009 1:08 PM

I was going thru LIFE magazine's online image archive and stumbled across these beautiful color shots from 1941 taken on board USS Enterprise, CV-6. I posted the aircraft related ones on that fourm due to their superb reference value. I just thought I would share these here for the same purpose, especially details and coloring.

There are also several  similar quality shots of surface ships such as the USS Colorado in the related images. Any of you fans of USN ships of that era should take a look there.
