I finally got my Trumpeter HMS Repulse in 1/350 from Free Time Hobbies (ordered the thing in Feb 2008!), and going through the kit, it looks to be very well molded indeed.  Gluing the upper hull to the lower hull might be a bit problematic, as there seems to be a fair bit of flex in the upper hull, which will make it a bit tricky to get the two parts to line up properly at the waterline, but nothing some care and a lot of tape can't handle (of course, for you waterline folks, this is not an issue at all)!

One interesting feature, is that the deck is molded in three separate pieces, with a quarter deck, the main deck, and the foredeck.  The join of the foredeck and the maindeck appears to be entirely masked by the foredeck sprayshield, so this should not cause any problems.  The maindeck and quarterdeck fit like a glove, and this leads to an interesting speculation; was there some plan for this model to be motorized???  Planned or not, from what I can see, it would be a snap to make an outstanding RC model of this kit, with almost no modification at all, and none of the usual unsightly big deck seams made necessary by the requirement for access to the interior.  Even the molded propeller shafts are designed to be passed through separate shaft struts (rather than molded as one piece), and it looks like very little effort would be required to drill out the holes in the hull for metal prop shafts, pass them through the shaft struts, apply brass propellers, install some stuffing boxes and figure out a suitable gearbox at the other end, or perhaps separate motors..... Has anyone else contemplated this?
