the best way to make water in 1/700 or 1/720 scale. I have two waterline models that I want to finish.

modelbuilder, If you meant to write, make water, you might consider trying Artist's Medium Gel, extra heavy/thick. it will trowel smooth and you can make waves with it also.

The method I use involves creatively wrinkling aluminum foil to the wave pattern desired, then painting it three different shades of blue. Specifically, Testor's spray Dark blue, then a wash of Dark Sea Blue, followed by Transparent Blue, allowing drying time between coats. At this point, I glue the foil onto the base and mount the ship. The final steps are several coats [at least 3] of Pledge with Future Shine floor finish. While the last coat is still wet, I use baking soda to make the wake and wave tops. Admittedly, this is a relatively time consuming method, but I have received many favorable comments on the models and have surprised people when they are told of how I make the water.  Hope this helps.             Regards, Bill
