BALSA BLOCK
Posted by CRUISERBUILDER on Thursday, June 25, 2009 1:24 PM
I need a balsa block 1" x 4" x 4". Does anybody know a good supplier that will not require me to buy a huge balsa log?

have you googled balsa wood?

A quick search found several suppliers of 1x4 inch stock in lengths up to 48 inches.  Cost for something that size is less than 10 USD

I know of several places but a personal contact or having done business with someone beats Google any day. Thanks

HELLO cruiserbuilder !!! HEY , where are you hailing from ? The reason I ask is ,it seems to me that I saw balsa in larger sizes at my local HOBBYTOWN ! There may be some shop in your town that caters to woodcarvers and that is DEFINITELY a place to seek out . Hope this helps ------tankerbuilder

Thanks tankerbuilder. I found the one I thought was lost and it is already glued up. I suffer from a dearth of hobby shops nearby. Lots of airplane r/c but nothing else. Is there a way to contact you with some other problems if you do not mind?
