I have a military museum near me that is looking for a supplier of inexpensive, simple, Level 1 model kits of WWII or newer combat ships or submarines suitable for "Make 'N Take" model camps, school field trips, Cub Scout merit badge pins, etc.

Does anyone know of a company that is currently producing such a kit?  There were some old Monogram models of this type that were later re-issued in a limited production run by Stevens International, but Stevens says they have no plans to re-issue those kits.

Revell makes some 1:1200 scale snap kits.   These are the old ESCI kits.   Currently available is a CV-6 USS Enterprise.   In the past I've seen Iowas, the Bismarck,  the Titanic, and a few others.  I know the Enterprise is currently available at my local HobbyLobby.

Have the museum contact Revell's marketing folks about case-lot purchases.   Most ship museums already have some sort of sales deal with Revell for items in their museum store.  Revell is a known product among most of them
