VICTORY SHIPS
Posted by tankerbuilder on Saturday, August 22, 2009 3:55 PM
NOW HEAR THIS !!, NOW HEAR THIS !! The victory ship problem in 1/350 scale is solved!! I have successfully reduced a set of plans I had in my files of the S.S.OCALA VICTORY (she was operated by OLYMPIC STEAM NAVIGATION CO. )This was back in the late 60s . Well ,I penciled in the mods that had been made and now I will begin building her, AFTER I finish my LINDBERG minesweeper conversion to an oceanographic research vessel complete with sub and two rov,s . This project is at 50 % at this writing . When I get done with the VICTORY ,I will be glad to share the unmodified plans with anyone who asks . (There will be no Charge) I cannot rightfully charge for something that is old knowledge . I want to build mine and add notes where needed . Someone might have to remind me once in a while as I have a client,s projects and three ships building right now . well it,s to hot to do anymore today so I,ll be around .   TANKERBUILDER      P.S. I had to do the reductions by hand ,that,s why it took so long.

ddp59 --- It will be about three months before I can accomodate you due to my client sending MORE work I wasn,t expecting . I got the waterline plate done and put everything in the file cabinet . Don,t forget me and DON,T forget to give  me a reminder and when I send them to you I,ll have the OCALA on the cover sheet as I last saw her .   tankerbuilder

I want to apologise to anyone who is interested in the plans and drawings for the S.S.OCALA VICTORY.I have not had a good beginning to the year and right now I am beset with health probs. slowing up my client build.I haven,t forgotten and as soon as the shop is clear I will run them up.I am very sorry for the delay. At my age any day pain free is a good one.Hang in there with me I,ll not let you down!   tankerbuilder
