While waiting for my package from Pacific Front Hobbies for BigE. I started on my Saratoga,I wanted to build her when she had all guns. But no company made 1:350 Cougars,Furys,Demons, so she will be in 1967 Nam dress. A photo.

RAIDER -HALL I guess I spoke before I saw the rest of your posts . You could use EVERGREEN and have an awesome carrier model . Think about it . I have some ships no one makes in plastic because I used cardmodels as patterns and did them in plastic . Good luck ....tankerbuilder

Raider: I,ve got a question. Did REVELL ever do the W.W. 2 carriers as seen post war/ I seem to remember a few carriers floating around,(excuse the pun), that were the typical 'Flat" bottomed kits or am I wrong?    tankerbuilder

Top Gun, Bar None!

O

That was the brand on Trigger's butt. The Lone Ranger would ride this full sized plastic horse mounted on top of a flight deck tow tractor whenever we returned from a deployment.

The lady is Miss Philippines, Merle Garcia.

You are doing a great job, raider. Just in case you didn't know, The 5" guns were always pointing aft except when they were in use.

Where did you get the USS Ranger model?  Is it also 1/350?  Scratch built paper?  Served on the "Ranger Boat" in Vietnam (yes the guy in the Lone Ranger suit did ride the plastic horse out on deck every time we came alongside another ship and came into port!!!) and have been trying to find a model of her.  Have the "Picture Series" 1/542 Revell but want a bigger version.  I have the FlyModel paper of the Saratoga at 1/200 but haven't gotten around to it yet.  Do you have plans at 1/350 you are following?  Also there is the problem of aircraft and these scales.  What are you doing about them?  You can email me at cdmaia@fmtc.net
