... when you finally attach your long-under-construction Haskell-class APA to its dockyard diorama base, take a deep breath, hold it up to eye level ... and discover that your loverly little resin model has managed to warp itself upwards quite nicely at the bow and stern! Banged Head [banghead]

But ... two shots of tequila later, you realize that's what you bought all that extra acrylic gel medium for Cool [8D]

Did you say TEQUILA?????? After what happened i,d have to say very old brandy . Your warp is not nice by any stretch ,but how about this . I filled a bow with resin so I could recontour it when it was time , looked good on the surface . When I started the grinding to the new shape ( remember the deck and hull are one piece now )I hit AIR!!! Two thirds of the area somehow generated a monstrous bubble after five very careful pours one after the other ,each one day apart . Soo , I had to fill it with cyanoacrylate . Did you ever smell such a stink ,as when you grind that stuff!!My U.S.S. NORTH CAROLINA resin parts seem ok but I hope I don,t have any trouble with them. I haven,t done a whole resin ship yet as usually the stuff (even with a mask ) makes me sneeze uncontrollably. That,s why I haven, tdone any resin car conversions either . Well good luck and lets see some pics . P.S. Wasn,t there an article on straightening resin ?, might that work or would it damage something ? Let us know and good luck -----tankerbuilder

No way to straighten things, unfortunately. This was one of the last bits to go down before I finally pronounce this epic done (after much prodding by my daughter). I toyed with the idea of putting a couple of screws in from underneath to pull the bow and stern down but, with my well known tendency for Never Knowing When To Quit, decided to, ummmm, quit as far as that went.
