My son has recently started getting into his own kitbuilding ( as opposed to father-son cooperative efforts ) and has chosen to start with basic ship and sub kits. One he's working on now is the simple "Snap Tite" carrier Constellation. The thing is, he's picked up on my being a bit picky with colors and already wants to use the FS system when possible. I haven't done a ship kit in years, so I don't know what gray to use, and the instructions for beginners don't go into that kind of detail.
So, could anyone help with the proper FS for this kit? Also, he wants to use something other than the stickers ( no, not decals, stickers ) that were provided for the number and lines on the runway. Since I figured it was not a kit that would have aftermarket options, we're looking at this as likely an introduction to masking, but any suggestions on alternatives would also be appreciated.
