Here is the Nichmo 1/200 I-19 and older kit I built in just 2 days. Had a lot of fun with it and it made a great Debut for the War in the Pacific GB!  A whole lot of great stuff going on there!  Spectacular builds! Bow [bow]

Finished the Sub but ran into problems with the decals. For some odd reason they are decals and not dry transfers but are reversed like that. Kinda works like an old cracker jack tatoo where you wet the back push it on and peel off the paper backing after some time. Losey system. Can't see it to position it and it wont move when applied. Add that they are old and it was not good.

I don't wanna take the time to measure straight lines and such on a completed build to get things all aligned so I just applied the whole sheet to some metal foil to keep them from falling apart which some still did.

You can see how well they were not working. Had to paint the hironmusmooie things by hand. (meatballs)

Anyways I took my left over railings from the Gorizia and cut off the bottom rail and made it look like the pics. Not too shabby adapting 1/350 t0 1/200 scale. Had to give up on the cutting the decals the metal foil was just too finicky but I used enough to give it something to show for itself!  Also added another small single railing around the conning tower.

Took a few liberties showing the aircraft under the rigging and the hydroplanes extended instead of fold atop each other and stowed but it turned out pretty good for a quick build. Thanks for looking!

Not a bad kit at all for it's age and a lot of fun.

Thanks for tolerating me and when you least expect it I shall be back!

Very sweet little a/c, Yokosuka E14Y Glen. Thanks too. There is a GB of tiny floaties coming, I can see...

I am motivated by you and Sean to break out the Seagulls from the USS San Francisco and build them up.

Great model, looked hard to get into the viewfinder!

Hey Thanks Carlos and Billy Bondo ( scourge of the 6and 3/4 seas)  It was a great build to get back in the mode!  I used the word subs plurial but forgot why.  As a child way before there was cable TV and video games ( well maybe just before Pong) My favorite model was the I-19 by Monogram.  I had that and their wolfpack U-boat!  I have seen the Wolfpaxck re released but never the I-19 which would be a cool Nostalgic build for me.  Both these babys saw lots of bath time and I still have some parts of the old kits here.

I took a pic of what is left of her and a ruler so you can see the size a bit better!  Bondo and his suttle  hints ya know?

Nice looking boat, nice small size to.

I recently picked up the Tamiya 1/350 I-400 that's about 14" long.

Very nicely done, thanks for sharing! I like that size rather than the uber-humongous 3-footers, purely due to display logistics issues.
