I just bought the 1/48 Eduard Japanese aircraft carrier deck (Zuikaku had her elevators in the center of her deck) and it includes 4 small clear parts for covers to rectangular boxes. What are these? Lights, skylights, or navigation lights? I know IJN carriers were pretty well lit in comparrison to USA carriers, but I have no idea what they are or what color to make them. They are positioned 3 even spaced on the aft side of the elevator, and one on the bow side. It's nice detail, and I'd like to do something with it.
If they're skylights, I'll leave darkish, if they are nav lights, I'd like to paint them the correct clear colors and possibly light them, and if they are lights, again maybe light them or do the chrome paint for the wells at least.
