The NMRA National Concention is due in Milwaukee next July, and I'm hoping to have three new RR modules done in time for the National Train Show, at the convention. I've decided to do a "Tourist type Seaport" in 30" X 12', in HO (1:87 scale) This first pic shows some of the "seaport" buildings, and three of the "ships" built for the display. In this first pic, the largest is the old "Ideal Alexander Hamilton", revenue cutter, that I've rebuilt as a practice item, several times. Next is the hull of a Lindberg "Fishing Schooner Elsie" kit, rebuilt as a 43' lwl Gaff Cutter. the deck and cabins are styrene, the masts and spars are wood. The small craft to the far right, is a Bluejacket "Harbor and Oceans" series "Friendship sloop" kit.
The second shot, is the cutter close up.
The next project is the Lindberg "Sandpiper" kit, rebuilt as a Northeastern coastal schooner.
