Tracy,  MM is not a builder.   He buys completed models,  most that have been shown here on FSM appear to have problems to some extent or another

Actually Tracy,  I'm not convinced the workmanship is there.   Look at how bad out of plumb the schnorkel intake mast projection is.   It also looks like he polished (or futured) the areas which were to receive the draft mark decals, then failed to flat over them.    The whole hull has an uneven sheen.

MM your builders are rushing their work and delivering items to you which have problems.   If I were paying good money, I wouldn't accept some of the gack I see posted.

You might suggest he do some research into USN modern paint schemes if you plan on showcasing more of his work.

Look for SSN-21 and Carter Rollout photos. I'm sure the workman ship is there, but it just kinda makes some people smirk when they see that.

subfixer, what are those 6 rectanguls(3 on each side) in the red area?

model manic, why is the shroud painted silver?

After consulting a dictionary for the meaning of "shroud", I know it's the part covering the propeller. I think it was painted silver because the instructions tell so. What's the correct color for this part?

I believe those panels are lateral side scanning passive sonar.
