Looks good, but there aren't any Hippers here in the UK yet - Unless someone knows differently.......

I saw Trumpeter's Admiral Hipper and Graf Spee in a hobby shop last week along with many new armors from Trumpeter, Dragon and Tamiya plus new big-scale warplanes from Trumpeter. I think it'll take around $1500 just to buy the newly-arrived kits alone. I haven't bought any of the two ships yet but they sure are in my 'wish list". I'll need PE upgrade sets for them too, has any company offered yet?

Colpar too eh? Did ya happen to see the 1:32 Tomcat D model and Hornet E model? Expensive!

So does anyone know if a Admiral Scheer is planned (hopefully by Trumpeter)?

Thanks for the photos! The hulls are beautiful! And, thanks for the response about Graf Spee.

I just received GS and it a beauty on par with the Prince Eugen.

And it looks like Trumpy got the hull correct for the Hipper instead of just using the same Eugen hull and taking the easy way out

Has anyone seen the Trumpeter Graf Spee?  How is it? I haven't seen any comments yet.

The new Admiral Hipper is a beautiful kit-MUCH better than the Academy 1/350 Graf Spee.  You won't be disappointed.  I picked up mine at Colpar in Denver also, along with a great new Arado AR 196 floatplane (often carried as spotter planes on the larger German ships) in 1/48 scale by Italeri.

"no, honey, of course that's not another new model. I've had that one for a long time..."

Could you post some side by side pics of the different parts?

Thanks

Went to ColparHobbies in Denver and picked up the new Admiral Hipper 1:350 kit from Trumpeter.
I already have the Prinz Eugen and wasn't disappointed in either kit.

My fav is Hipper and appears to be accurate in how it is different from Prinz Eugen (bow, bridge, catapult, masts). Mind you, I don't count number of planks per scale inch or anything like that, I build for historical accuracy and ultimately for the enjoyment of fulfilling another fix to my addiction to plastic! (hehe)

Cant wait for Dragon's Scharnhorst!
Does anyone know if Trumpeter is going to do Admiral Scheer before I get their Graf Spee and kitbash it into Scheer?

Life is good for us naval hobbiests!
