Hasse, here's a good place to start. It takes a little practice to get around this site, but it's huge. Start by selecting gallery in the search bar near the bottom. Once you have a list of numbers, names it gets faster.

Bondoman,

Thanks for that link. I am trying to detail the Hawaiian Pilot as well and this site will help.

Pictures of the S.S. Steel Seafarer

Although, judging from the mast arrangement, not the exact same as the Hawaiian Pilot, this would appear to be a C-3.  Note the open railing along the deck.   C-2s, C-4s and Victorys had a solid bulwark.

From the website Bondo linked to above, the C3-S-A2 class, which includes Hawaiian Pilot, also shows several ships named 'Steel........"  These are Isthmian Lines ships and they all have the kingpost arrangement rather than the two single masts that the Hawaiian Pilot has.

Edit:   One detail I notice from these old pics is that the railings on top of the deck house are 2-bar, while the rest are 3-bar.

Hi Hasse!  Long time no see.
