If you're partial to Humbrol,  check out the Colourcoat line of paints by White Ensign Models

http://whiteensignmodels.com/

The make enamel paints which accurately match USN Haze Gray, deck gray, and hull red.

The specification for USN haze gray is 26270.   Model Master Neutral Gray is 36270, difference being satin vs flat.

'70s USN haze gray question
Posted by SM2 on Sunday, December 20, 2009 6:34 PM

I've been out of modeling for a while, and now thinking about building a '70s era DDG.  Can anyone suggest an enamel that closely matches haze gray of the period?  I'd prefer Humbrol enamel--I think it covers really well--but I'm up for any option.  Any suggestions, including purchasing sources, will be gratefully accepted.  Thanks,
