Fujimi 1/350 Kongo replacement wooden deck

     Hi,  My next project is the Fujimi Kongo 1944 1/350 model.  I have purchased the shinsengumi replacement wooden deck.  My question is what kind of adheasive is used to secure it to the deck.  Is their any tips or how to's I should be aware of ??  Should I weather the wood or leave it as is ??  I am a enthusistic beginner so any assistance would greatly be appreciated.  Thank you in advance for your time,  Lt.
